“We have just had the pleasure of staying at the Steam Packet for four nights, a beautiful riverside location in Totnes. We were fortunate to have the river view from our room number 3. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent and plentiful both in the restaurant and cosy fireside bar, but what made our holiday so special were all the staff who were so friendly and attentive. We are living in a crazy COVID world at present and they are dealing with this situation admirably, making us feel very safe. Thank you so much Steam Packet for a lovely holiday, big thumbs up to you all and thanks for all the calories too 🍻🥂👍 we loved it…”

“Thought I’d find in abundance, but hadn’t, was a quaint country pub. Well, The Steam Packet gave me just that. It was cosy, the food was excellent and the team were really lovely. We sat in The Conservatory and the waitress, I think her name was Fran, was really lovely and attentive. It’s nice when the team have proper personality, and she made us feel really at home, rather than just another guest. It was great”.

“All the staff were very helpful and polite. Obviously, part of the management ethos. Lovely location. We had room 2 and it was fantastic. I know all the rooms are different but we had a massive bed and big bathroom. We had dinner and breakfast and very happy with both. Thank you”.

“We didn’t know anything about The Steam Packet but enjoyed a great two night stay. Ian, the Manager, welcomed us and led his great team by example throughout. The service was superb. Our room was very well appointed and clean, the food very good indeed, particularly the full breakfast, and the location top class. We will be returning”.
